Islamabad: In response to rising internal differences within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), party chairman Barrister Gohar has directed key party leaders to refrain from making public statements.
Sources reveal that Barrister Gohar reached out to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Asad Qaiser, and Taimur Jhagra, urging them to avoid airing internal disputes in the media. He emphasized that all party matters should be resolved through appropriate forums rather than in the public domain.
Gohar reportedly expressed concern over a recent statement by CM Gandapur and advised him to remain silent on such issues in the future. The chief minister had recently accused certain PTI leaders of conspiring against the party in a social media post.
In reaction, PTI MNA Shahram Khan Tarakai demanded an inquiry into Gandapur’s statement, stating that such remarks could damage the movement led by Imran Khan. He advised the chief minister to focus his efforts on improving governance and restoring law and order in the province.
Following Tarakai’s comments, Atif Khan also criticized Gandapur’s remarks, saying that while personal disagreements may exist, senior party members like Asad Qaiser and Shakeel Khan should not be targeted publicly. He stressed that the chief minister should prioritize provincial governance and maintain unity to support the efforts for Imran Khan’s release.
Atif Khan further stated that if Imran Khan had made any statements against them, they should be verified first before drawing conclusions.
